Bethenny Frankel Blasts 'And Just Like That' Finale: A Disaster in Five Pounds
Bethenny Frankel UNLEASHES on And Just Like That! Series Finale: "25 Pounds of Disaster in a 5-Pound Bag"
The one and only Bethenny Frankel is known for speaking her mind, and boy, did she ever do just that when it comes to the highly-anticipated (and highly-debated) series finale of And Just Like That! The outspoken reality TV star took to Instagram on Saturday to share her UNFILTERED thoughts on the show's conclusion, and let's just say, she didn't hold back.
In a video recorded from the comfort of her bed, Bethenny dished out some seriously scathing reviews of the Sex and the City spinoff. With over 4 million followers hanging on her every word, she declared, "This is the worst show ever. Honestly, this is from hero to zero. It's just so forced." Ouch!
But that wasn't all - Bethenny went on to trash the show's outlandish fashion choices, as well as the returns of some fan-favorite characters, including Aidan Shaw (played by John Corbett), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), and her husband Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler). "Everybody's just a weird caricature of themselves," she snarked. "It's just the most bizarre, forced show."
But what really got under Bethenny's skin was the show's attempt to tackle woke narratives. "Put it in the back and shoot it. Put it to rest," she demanded about the series, whose cancellation was announced earlier this month.
Now, you might be thinking, "Bethenny, why are you being so harsh?" Well, as it turns out, And Just Like That! did try to include her in a rather awkward storyline last season. Recall that Sarah Jessica Parker's character mentioned Bethenny's name in conversation? Yeah, about that... Bethenny had this to say:
"I don't feel bad about saying what I'm going to say because they dragged me in season one when Sarah Jessica Parker's character said, 'Every time I thought about getting a place in The Hamptons I always found a reason to not do it,' and Seema says, 'Was that reason always Bethenny Frankel?'"
Bethenny admitted she was "actually really flattered" by the line, but ultimately watched the series anyway. However, with her unfiltered opinion now out of the bag (pun intended!), she proclaimed, "I probably would be saying this in a gentler manner, but because they dragged me, this is my innermost self unfiltered, unedited opinion of this show."
The post quickly racked up over 50,000 likes and sparked a lively debate among fans. While some agreed with Bethenny's assessment ("No, they ruined it, they really did"), others defended the show as a "nice way to mentally escape" for 45 minutes each week.
But one fan took issue with Bethenny's harsh words: "Loved it. Huge fan of Sex and The City and this show allowed us to fan out a little while longer." Guess you can't please everyone, folks!
In the end, Bethenny Frankel might just be the most honest (and outspoken) critic And Just Like That! will ever encounter. What do you think, readers? Do you agree with Bethenny's scathing review of the series finale, or are you Team AJLT all the way?
