Bennifer's Bond: How Ben Affleck Financed Jennifer Lopez’s New Movie

It didn't take much effort for Jennifer Lopez to convince her then-fourth husband Ben Affleck to finance her upcoming movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, through his production company Artists Equity with BFF Matt Damon (pictured in 2024)

JENNIFER LOPEZ GETS HER REVENGE ON BEN AFFLECK - AND IT'S A KISS OF DEATH FOR THEIR MARRIAGE!

The cat's out of the bag, folks! Jennifer Lopez is spilling all about her tumultuous marriage to Ben Affleck and how it almost derailed her latest film project. The 56-year-old pop diva has finally broken her silence on the drama that went down behind closed doors, and let us tell you, it's a juicy tale of love, lies, and betrayal.

According to Lopez, she convinced her then-fourth husband (yes, we said fourth!) Ben Affleck to finance her upcoming movie Kiss of the Spider Woman through his production company Artists Equity with BFF Matt Damon. And guess what? She didn't even have to do much convincing! "The movie wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for him and Artists Equity...I will always give him that credit," Lopez gushed on CBS Sunday Morning.

The 56-year-old pop diva said on CBS Sunday Morning: 'The movie wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for him and Artists Equity...I will always give him that credit' (pictured last Friday)

But what's really going down is that Ben was basically bankrolling JLo's film project while their marriage was crumbling around them. We're talking about a $30M-budget big-screen adaptation of the 1992 West End musical, and Affleck was happy to foot the bill. Talk about throwing money at problems!

Lopez revealed that making Kiss of the Spider Woman was like a refuge for her during those dark times in her marriage. "Yes 100%. Yeah, it was," she admitted. "It was hard not to think about stuff...But you get through it. And you know, honestly, I have to say it was the best thing that ever happened to me because it changed me." Changed her? We're not so sure...

The drama between Lopez and Affleck has been making headlines for months now, with sources close to the couple revealing all about their alleged infidelity issues and power struggles. But JLo is determined to put on a brave face and move forward - at least on social media. Just last week, she posted an Instagram slideshow of herself relaxing on what appeared to be a beach in the Hamptons, captioning it "Grateful for the sunsets, the seasons, and the moments that remind me how beautiful change and growth can be."

She continued: 'They financed it. I told him this was the role I was born to play and I wanted to do it, and he was like,

But let's get real here - Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to controversy. She's been married not once, not twice, but four times! (And counting?) Her previous marriages include Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, Marc Anthony, and Alex Rodriguez. And let's not forget her infamous romance with Ben Affleck back in the early 2000s - they were dubbed "Bennifer" by the media at the time.

Fast forward to present day, and it looks like Lopez is finally getting some revenge on Affleck for all the heartache he put her through. Her upcoming film Kiss of the Spider Woman has gotten rave reviews from critics, with an impressive 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes! And guess who's credited as one of the executive producers? That's right - Ben Affleck!

But don't worry, folks - we won't make you sit through a whole hour of JLo's dramatic monologue (although it would be entertaining). The real tea is that Lopez has some major projects lined up for 2024. She'll be producing Bob the Builder for Amazon MGM Studios, and she's also set to star in Robert Zemeckis' thriller The Last Mrs. Parrish for Netflix.

The 53-year-old Oscar winner happens to be one of eight credited executive producers behind Bill Condon's $30M-budget big-screen version of the 1992 West End musical, which hits US theaters October 10

And if all that wasn't enough, JLo will be taking the stage by storm with her new Las Vegas residency Up All Night Live at Caesars Palace's The Colosseum starting December 30! We can already hear the screams of adoration from the crowd...

But what about Ben Affleck? Where does he fit into all this drama? Well, sources close to the couple have revealed that their divorce was finalized on February 21 - just a week after Lopez's film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Talk about timing!

So there you have it - the latest scoop from the world of Hollywood. Will JLo finally get her happily ever after with Ben Affleck? Or will she be singing "I'm a Survivor" for real this time around? Only time (and JLo's next Instagram post) will tell.

Jennifer pulled triple duty portraying Ingrid Luna, Aurora, and The Spider Woman in the Lionsgate flick, which currently has an 83% critic approval rating (out of 46 reviews) on Rotten Tomatoes
