Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez: From Flirting to Co-Parenting Brilliance

Ben Affleck, 53, made rare comments about his co-parenting relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner - seven years after their divorce was finalized; seen on Monday in NYC

BEN AFFLECK SPILLS THE TEA ON CO-PARENTING WITH JENNIFER GARNER: "I'M LUCKY TO HAVE A GREAT PARTNER AND KIDS"

The drama may be dying down in Ben Affleck's love life, but it seems he's still got a thing or two to say about his co-parenting relationship with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. The 53-year-old Oscar winner opened up about the topic during an interview with Access Hollywood, and let's just say, it's clear he's still got feelings for his kids' mom.

Affleck, who's been making headlines for his reunion with ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez (more on that later), gushed about how proud he is of their three children - Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13. "I could not be more proud of my children," he exclaimed, before adding that eldest child Violet takes after her mom. "She's spectacular," Affleck said with a smile.

Affleck shares Violet, 19, Fin, 16, and Samuel, 13, with Garner - whom he was married to from 2005 until 2018; the former couple seen above in 2013 in West Hollywood

But what really caught our attention was when Affleck spoke about his co-parenting relationship with Garner. Despite their high-profile split in 2018, the two have maintained a positive and loving dynamic for the sake of their kids. "I'm very lucky that I've got a great partner and that we got great kids," he said, sounding like a proud papa.

And it seems that co-parenting has been a breeze for the former couple, who have even been spotted together on rare family outings with their kids in tow. Last month, they were seen taking Fin and Samuel out for a fun day of family bonding - a clear indication that despite their past romance ending, they're still committed to putting their children first.

But what's really got tongues wagging is Affleck's reunion with Jennifer Lopez. The two have been spotted together on several occasions since rekindling their romance in 2021 (yes, you read that right - they were married briefly in 2003 before splitting), and it seems things are heating up between them once again.

'I could not be more proud of my children. I can't even tell you,' he said before adding that his eldest child Violet 'takes after her mom'; Garner and Violet seen in 2022 in Washington D.C.

Affleck was seen flashing a big smile alongside Lopez at the premiere of their new movie Kiss Of The Spider Woman in NYC on Monday. And let's just say, he couldn't help but gush about her performance in the film - which is no surprise given that he's one of the executive producers and she stars as the lead.

"She's amazing in the movie," Affleck told Extra, beaming with pride. "I just can't wait for you, the audience, to see the movie. I'm as proud of this movie as any that I've ever been involved with." He added that Lopez put her heart and soul into the project, saying, "You get to see all of her many gifts."

And it's clear that Affleck is still smitten with his ex-fiancée - despite their recent divorce (which was finalized in January). During an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning last month, Lopez revealed how Affleck came to help finance the musical drama through his production company Artists Equity.

'I'm really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who's wonderful and great and we work together well,' he told the outlet at the time; seen in 2014 in L.A.

"The movie wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for him and Artists Equity," she explained. "I will always give him that credit." Talk about a Hollywood romance!

Kiss Of The Spider Woman, which also stars Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, Bruno Bichir, and Josefina Scaglione, hits theaters on October 10. And based on Affleck's glowing review of Lopez's performance, we can't wait to see what all the fuss is about.

But let's get back to that co-parenting dynamic between Affleck and Garner - because it seems they're still going strong despite their split. In a previous interview with GQ in March, Affleck praised his ex-wife for being an amazing co-parent and partner.

While at Monday's premiere of Kiss Of The Spider Woman, the actor also reunited with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez (seen above)

"I'm really lucky that I have a really good co-parent and partner in Jennifer Garner, the kids' mom, who's wonderful and great and we work together well," he said. "We used to have a thing, my ex-wife and I, when they would see something on a supermarket stand - you know, those tabloid stories about celebrities having 15 kids or whatever."

Affleck recalled how Garner and he would talk to their kids about the truth behind these outlandish claims, saying, "Well, 'You know this isn't always true because if it were, you would have 15 brothers or sisters or whatever...'

"I know what's going on in my life. And also, really more importantly, my kids know." Ah, we can only assume that's a testament to the loving and supportive co-parenting relationship they've maintained over the years.

Affleck further added, 'She just was going to give it her all and she did. She worked enormously hard. You get to see all of her many gifts. She's somebody that grew up watching classic musicals'

So there you have it - Ben Affleck spilling the tea on his co-parenting relationship with Jennifer Garner, and it seems things are still looking up for this Hollywood power couple (or should we say, power trio?). Who knows what's next for these two? Only time will tell!

During an appearance on CBS Sunday Morning late last month, Lopez explained how Affleck came to help finance the musical drama through his production company Artists Equity with close pal Matt Damon; seen on Tuesday in NYC
