Behind the Scenes: Selena Gomez's Surprise at Coachella!

Selena Gomez, 33, shared some juicy but sweet gossip about her costar Martin Short, 75, and his girlfriend Meryl Streep, 76, as she sat in the audience at the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday night; pictured with Steve Marin (center)

THE RED CARPET IS ROLLED OUT FOR THE BIGGEST NIGHT IN TELEVISION: THE 2023 EMMY AWARDS!

Last night, the stars aligned in a dazzling display of glamour and talent as the 2023 Emmy Awards took center stage at the iconic Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. TheScholarlyNote.com was on hand to capture all the excitement and drama that unfolded on the red carpet.

MARTIN SHORT TURNS UP THE HEAT

Despite her boyfriend scoring a nomination for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series for Only Murders In The Building, Streep didn't appear to have attended the Emmys

One of the biggest surprises of the night came when Martin Short, a nominee for his work on "Only Murders in the Building," walked the red carpet. The veteran actor and comedian was beaming with pride as he made his way to the microphone to chat with our reporter.

"I'm just thrilled to be here tonight," Short gushed. "It's an incredible honor to be nominated, and I'm so grateful for the recognition."

But when asked about his chances of taking home the coveted award, Short remained coy. "I don't like to jinx it, but I do have a good feeling," he teased.

Gomez appeared to mouth the words 'Martin's texting Meryl' in exaggerated fashion to her fiancé Benny Blanco (R)

SETH ROGEN AND CO-STARS GET READY TO PARTY

Meanwhile, Seth Rogen and his co-stars from "The Studio" were getting ready to let loose and celebrate their nomination for Best Comedy Series. The group was seen laughing and joking as they made their way down the red carpet.

"We're just thrilled to be here tonight," Rogen said with a grin. "We've worked so hard on this show, and it's amazing to see all our hard work pay off."

Rumors that Short and Streep were dating began in January 2024 after she appeared on Only Murders, but Short initially denied them

But when asked about his chances of taking home the award, Rogen remained humble. "We'll just take it one step at a time," he said. "But we're definitely feeling good about our chances."

CRIISTIN MILIOTI GETS TEARFUL AS SHE TALKS ABOUT HER NOMINATION

As the evening wore on, Cristin Milioti took to the red carpet to chat with our reporter about her nomination for Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

However, the two appeared to make their red carpet debut as a couple at the season four premiere in August 2024, and they've since been seen together on dates. Still, they've remained tightlipped about the apparent relationship

"I'm just so grateful to be here tonight," Milioti said, her voice trembling. "It's an incredible honor to be nominated, and I'm still in shock."

When asked about her co-stars from "The Penguin," Milioti gushed about the talented cast. "We had the most amazing time working together on this show," she said. "I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a talented group of people."

THE BIG WINNERS OF THE NIGHT

Former E.R. star Noah Wyle completed his career comeback as he led new medical drama The Pitt to top honors as the HBO series was the biggest winner at the 2025 Emmy Awards

As the evening drew to a close, the big winners were announced. And in a surprise move, Seth Rogen took home the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on "The Studio." The actor was seen grinning from ear to ear as he accepted the award.

"I'm just so grateful to have had this opportunity," Rogen said in his acceptance speech. "I couldn't have done it without my incredible team and co-stars."

But when asked about his plans for the future, Rogen remained tight-lipped. "We'll just take it one step at a time," he said with a wink.
