Ashanti's Beachside Glamour: Flaunting Curves with Baby Kareem by Nelly

ASHANTI EXPOSES NELLY'S SHADY SIDE: RAPPER REFUSES TO DO DADDY DUTIES

The drama is unfolding, and it's all about Ashanti and Nelly's whirlwind romance! The couple, who tied the knot in December 2023 after a decade-long on-again, off-again relationship, has been keeping fans entertained with their new reality show "Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together" on Peacock. But it looks like the tea is getting hot, honey!

The singer-songwriter, 45, and her rapper beau, 50, are parents to adorable one-year-old Kareem Kenkaide Haynes (or KK for short). However, a recent episode of their show sparked outrage when Nelly revealed he's not exactly being hands-on with daddy duties. In fact, Ashanti was left fuming when Nelly confessed that he refuses to get up in the middle of the night to tend to KK's cries.

The Always on Time singer, 45, turned heads in a figure-hugging pink swimsuit as she enjoyed a sunny Barbados getaway with little KK on Friday, showing off her enviable curves while keeping her baby close

"I told her before we had him, I said, 'now listen, I'm here, but chasing toddlers at 50...,'" Nelly explained during an interview promoting their show on The Scholarly Note. "I was like, 'you know what? It's a gift, I guess.' And I said, 'I'm blessed with that tune-out.'"

Ashanti, not one to mince words, shot back, "You know what? It's absolutely ridiculous that you'll still be dead asleep and he'll be mad loud." The couple's banter is undeniably entertaining, but fans are left wondering if Nelly's lack of involvement in childcare duties is a sign of a deeper issue.

One fan on social media exclaimed, "Him asking 'Do y'all really be up at night' would've got me my own season of Snapped. Because WHAT?!?!?!!!'" Another viewer chimed in, "This is not normal. Men should not get away with doing the bare minimum." The comments section was flooded with criticism towards Nelly, with many calling him out for being a deadbeat dad.

Ashanti and Nelly first met in 2003 and had an on-again, off-again relationship for a decade before splitting for another 10 years in 2013;  Pictured in Los Angeles in July 2006

But it seems like Nelly has been open about his expectations from Ashanti when it comes to childcare duties. In an earlier conversation on their show, he implied that she'd be handling most of the responsibilities. "Well, listen, it's all you," he told her. "I ain't gonna even lie... You know, I ain't got nothing for him."

Ashanti and Nelly first met in 2003 but had a complicated relationship over the years. They reunited professionally in 2021 at the Verzuz battle between Ja Rule and Fat Joe at Madison Square Garden. Sparks flew, and they eventually tied the knot and welcomed their son, Kareem, seven months later.

The couple's decision to open up their lives on reality TV has been a mixed bag for fans. While some are enjoying the behind-the-scenes look into their relationship, others feel that Nelly is getting away with being irresponsible.

Nelly, 50, is receiving some pushback after revealing his daddy duties do not include diaper duty on a recent episode of  Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together.

"It's not even about having the money to afford the nannies; it's bonding time with your child," Ashanti explained during an interview. "Like she said, 'how could you sit through that?'" The comments from fans are scathing towards Nelly, with many calling him out for being a "deadbeat dad" and questioning his commitment to their family.

In the midst of all the drama, Ashanti is loving every moment of motherhood. She recently shared adorable photos of herself soaking up the sun on a beach day in Barbados with little KK by her side. The singer looked stunning in a figure-hugging pink swimsuit, turning heads as she played with her toddler and soaked up the sun.

As Nelly continues to get slammed for his lack of involvement in childcare duties, Ashanti remains tight-lipped about their relationship struggles. But fans are left wondering if this is just a sign of things to come – or if Nelly will eventually step up to be the responsible dad he claims to be.

The show chronicles the couple's every day life as working artists and new parents

UPDATE: All eight episodes of "Nelly and Ashanti: We Belong Together" are available for streaming on Peacock, but be warned: it's about to get real!

Nelly's comments sparked anger among Ashanti's fans

'Imagine being this proud of being so useless. And men really wonder why more and more women don't want to be in relationships with them,' a disgruntled viewer said

Others argued Nelly should be doing his part because he is the baby's father
