SHOCKING TWIST: Arnold Schwarzenegger's Netflix Hit Fubar Axed After Just Two Seasons!

Get ready for a juicy scandal, folks! The Governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is reeling after his highly-anticipated Netflix series Fubar has been abruptly cancelled just two seasons in. The news comes hot on the heels of a dramatic drop in viewership following its June 12 season two premiere.

Fubar, which debuted in May 2023 with a promising 11 million views in its premiere weekend, was supposed to be Schwarzenegger's foray into television after decades of blockbuster movie-making. But it seems the action-comedy spy drama just couldn't keep up the pace. The second installment, featuring Schwarzenegger alongside Monica Barbaro and Fortune Feimster, managed a paltry 2.2 million viewers in the same time frame.

The show was the 78-year-old actor's first foray into television

Sources close to the production confirm that Netflix dropped Fubar due to concerns over declining ratings. But we've got a juicy secret: insiders claim that the show's creator, Nick Santora, was under pressure from the network to revamp the series after the first season's lackluster reception.

But wait, there's more! A major plagiarism scandal rocked the show last August when entrepreneur and former rock star Aharon Jason Curtis accused Fubar of stealing his 2015 app idea. The app, called Aisle, allows users to locate grocery store items, plot a route through the store, and even scan bar codes. Curtis claimed he only shared his concept with two people: his manager at the time (who now works as a writer specializing in scripts for action films and streaming series) and a friend who is now a writer working at Netflix in Los Angeles.

Curtis's lawyer sent a stern letter to Fubar's producers, threatening to sue if they didn't cough up $1.5 million in damages. But it seems the threat fell on deaf ears – or perhaps Netflix just wasn't interested in getting tangled in a messy plagiarism lawsuit.

He starred in the series alongside Emmy-nominated actress Monica Barbaro

As the news of Fubar's cancellation spreads like wildfire, Schwarzenegger fans are left reeling. The 78-year-old actor had been gushing about his new TV venture as recently as last August, saying: 'Fans from all over the world have been asking me for a wild ride like this for years, and now they're finally going to get it because of our great partners at Skydance and Netflix.'

But what went wrong? Was it the show's convoluted plot, which followed Schwarzenegger as Luke, a CIA Operative who uncovers a family secret just before he plans to retire? Or was it the uninspired casting choices, which included Milan Carter, Gabriel Luna, Travis Van Winkle, and Jay Baruchel among others?

Whatever the reason, one thing's for sure: Fubar's cancellation is a crushing blow to Schwarzenegger's TV ambitions. The actor, who recently celebrated his 78th birthday, had been banking on the show's success to revitalize his career in Hollywood.

Travis Van Winkle (L) and Fortune Feimster (R) also appeared in the Netflix show

But don't count Arnold out just yet! As the Governator himself would say: 'I'll be back' – and we can't wait to see what he's got up his sleeve next.
