Anne and Adam have been married for nearly 13 years and are proud parents of two adorable sons, Jonathan, 9, and Jack, 5. But it's not just their family life that's making headlines – Anne is set to sizzle on the big screen as a pop star in her upcoming film, Mother Mary.

In an exclusive interview with Vogue's August issue (available now on thescholarlynote.com!), Anne dished about taking on this new role. She revealed that it was uncharted territory for her, requiring two years of intense training to master dance and singing. And, let's just say, she's not exactly a beginner anymore!

"I had to submit to being a beginner," Anne confessed. "The humility of that – showing up every day knowing you're going to suck. And it has to be okay. You're not 'bad.' You're just a beginner." Talk about vulnerability!

This week saw the Princess Diaries star pose up a storm on the cover of Vogue 's August issue, where she opened up on taking on playing a pop star in her new film, Mother Mary

But, as any true performer will attest, embracing the unknown can be both exhilarating and terrifying. Anne candidly shared her experience: "Getting to that mindset – I had to shed some things that were hard to shed. It was welcome. But it was hard, the way transformational experiences can be hard."

And what about the music? Well, let's just say it was a challenge for this perfectionist! Anne revealed that not all of the songs were finalized when she started filming, leaving her no choice but to learn as she went along. Talk about improvisation!

"Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX were my collaborators," Anne gushed. "I finally learned how to breathe. My body was so locked up – I literally couldn't take a deep breath." Who knew that becoming a pop star would require Anne to relearn the art of breathing?

While Anne also spoke about her personal life, insisting that despite her global fame she is a regular person, who loves to stay home with her family (pictured with Adam in April)

Of course, no discussion about Anne Hathaway's life would be complete without touching on her personal side. Despite being a global superstar, she insisted that she's just like everyone else – a regular person who loves to stay home with her family.

"I love hanging out with my kids," Anne gushed. "Uno games, baking when there's time, teaching the kids to dribble a basketball in the apartment without upsetting the neighbors... Adam is also an amazing cook and early riser. We're basically the ultimate #couplegoals!"

And did you know that this power couple will be working together again on their upcoming film, Yesteryear? According to Deadline (thescholarlynote.com!), they'll produce the romantic comedy through their Somewhere Pictures company.

Yesteryear is based on the forthcoming novel by Caro Claire Burke and follows a trad-wife social media influencer who portrays her perfect life on a ranch with her husband and six kids – but secretly uses modern amenities and staff to make it all happen. Sounds like a wild ride, right?

Anne and Adam first collaborated more than a decade ago on the indie thriller Song One, where Anne starred as Franny Ellis and Adam served as producer. And, let's just say, they've got this whole 'working together' thing down pat!

In an interview with People at the time, Anne raved about the experience: "At first, I was curious how it would go. People always say don't work with your spouse. But I loved working with him. He's really good at this, and he's a wonderful producer. And I feel like I actually learned a lot from him in the process."

With her edgy fashion sense, her newfound pop star credentials, and her strong relationship with Adam – Anne Hathaway is truly having the time of her life!"
