Andy Cohen Spills the Tea on His Secret Weight Loss Transformation!

In a shocking revelation, Bravo's beloved Real Housewives franchise executive, Andy Cohen, has come clean about using a weight loss medication to achieve his dream physique. The 57-year-old entertainment mogul made the admission on his Sirius XM show, "Andy Cohen Live," leaving fans and followers stunned.

During an intimate conversation with his listeners, Cohen confessed that he had lost a substantial amount of weight over the summer by micro-dosing a GLP-1 medication. But what's more intriguing is how this secret weight loss journey has been a long time coming. According to sources close to the media personality, Cohen has been struggling with his weight for years.

"I was really unhappy with my weight," Cohen revealed on his show, candidly discussing his personal struggles. "My doctor and I had talked about it last year, and they recommended a GLP-1 medication to not only address my weight concerns but also treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure."

Cohen, who has always been open about his love for food and drinks, explained that he was initially hesitant to take the medication. However, after discussing the benefits with his doctor, he finally agreed to give it a try.

For those who are unfamiliar with GLP-1 medications, they work by regulating blood sugar levels, reducing appetite, and slowing down stomach emptying, making users feel fuller for longer periods. This clever mechanism helped Cohen overcome his snacking habits, which were notorious for sabotaging his diet.

"I have to say, it really helped me with cravings," Cohen confessed, chuckling about the infamous craft services on Watch What Happens Live sets. "I mean, who needs cookies and pasta when you're surrounded by them all day? It's like a never-ending buffet!"

The medication not only tamed his cravings but also motivated him to become more disciplined with his diet and workout routine. Cohen revealed that he started lifting heavier weights during training sessions and made a conscious effort to watch what he put in his mouth.

As for the side effects, Cohen mentioned that micro-dosing helped minimize them. "I was taking a smaller portion than recommended by the manufacturer," he explained. "It wasn't as bad as some people experience with GLP-1 medications."

Cohen acknowledged how fortunate he is to have access to quality medical care and insurance coverage, which made the medication more affordable for him. Without insurance, patients can expect to shell out around $1,200 a month for drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy.

When asked about his weight loss journey, Cohen candidly shared that quitting the medication after reaching his goal was difficult but ultimately liberating. "My appetite returned from the micro-dose," he admitted. "However, this experience has helped me reframe my relationship with food, and I'm grateful for it."

In a surprising twist, Cohen confessed that he felt it would be hypocritical not to share his weight loss secret after repeatedly asking others about their own struggles. "I've asked so many people about their secrets, and then suddenly, I lost 25 pounds without mentioning it?" he quipped.

Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure – this Real Housewives executive has proven that even the most unexpected secrets can lead to remarkable transformations.
