Al Pacino Revisits His Godfather Roots in New Thriller 'Father Joe'

Al Pacino, 85, is returning to his Godfather days in new action thriller Father Joe, starring as a powerful mob boss

AL PACINO IS BACK IN TOWN, AND HE'S BRINGING THE GODFATHER MAGIC TO A NEW ACTION THRILLER!

The legendary actor is trading in his iconic Michael Corleone persona for a new role as the powerful mob boss Father Joe in the upcoming action thriller "Father Joe". The 85-year-old Hollywood icon was spotted on set in Paris, and let's just say he's still got it!

Pacino, who has been in the game since the '60s, is known for his iconic roles in "The Godfather" trilogy. But this new project promises to be a departure from his usual gangster fare. According to sources, Pacino will be playing Father Joe as a man of faith who wages a violent war against Manhattan's criminal underworld. Talk about a dramatic role!

And he won't be doing it alone! Kiefer Sutherland, the star of "24" and "Designated Survivor", is set to co-star alongside Pacino as... well, that's still a mystery. But we can tell you that Barthélémy Grossmann is directing the movie, and Luc Besson (the producer behind "La Femme Nikita" and "Lucy") is producing.

But what really caught our attention was Pacino's recent outing with his ex-girlfriend Diane Keaton at LAX last week. The Oscar-winning actress passed away at 79, leaving behind a legacy of incredible films, including the aforementioned "Godfather" trilogy. Pacino and Keaton had a long history together, dating on and off from 1971 to 1987. They even starred in "The Godfather Part III" together!

According to an insider, Pacino will "forever regret" not staying with Keaton. "For years after they split, Al used to say, 'if it's meant to be, it's never too late for a do-over.' But sadly, now it is," the source shared with TheScholarlyNote.com.

Going back to his gangster roots, the movie star was seen head to toe in beige, with a dramatic faux fur collar to complement his suit

Keaton herself reflected on their relationship in an interview, saying that Pacino was the one who got away. "I didn't even want him to propose," she said. "I just thought maybe he would marry me, eventually. I thought, 'don't even propose - let's just do it.'"

But alas, it wasn't meant to be. And now, Keaton is gone, leaving Pacino heartbroken.

But don't worry, folks! The show must go on! And Pacino is back in action with "Father Joe", alongside rising star Ever Anderson (star of "Peter Pan & Wendy" and "Black Widow") as a young woman caught between danger and redemption under Father Joe's guidance. It's going to be a wild ride!

When asked about the project, Sutherland gushed: "I have been a fan of Luc Besson going back to 'Subway'. As a director and a writer, he has a unique capacity to weave drama and action together without sacrificing either."

And as for Pacino? He's still got his signature style. Spotted on set in Paris, the 85-year-old actor was dressed to the nines in a beige suit with a dramatic faux fur collar. Talk about making an entrance!

But despite all the excitement surrounding "Father Joe", it's clear that Pacino is still reeling from Keaton's passing. His recent outing with Noor Alfallah, the mother of his 2023 child Roman, was a somber affair, with both parties dressed in all-black ensembles.

As we said, the show must go on! But for now, let's take a moment to remember the incredible life and legacy of Diane Keaton. She may be gone, but her impact on cinema will live on forever. And who knows? Maybe Pacino will find his next great love in the process of making "Father Joe". After all, as he so famously said, "if it's meant to be, it's never too late for a do-over."
